Morning Politics: RNC Shamlessly Attacks Obama

This is getting ridiculous. It almost seems as if President-Elect Obama is still running against John McCain for the White House. In case you haven't been following, the Republican National Committee (also known as the RNC, or a bunch of stinking, hairy assholes) is attacking Obama every day, alleging that there are nefarious and secret ties between him and Captain Evil-Toupee, Rod Blagojevich.

For example, this web ad has been making the rounds:



But thank God that there are SOME sane people left in the party. Former opponent John McCain weighed in and told the RNC to chill the hell out. And today Newt Gingrich let loose on his party saying:

"The recent web advertisement, "Questions Remain," is a destructive distraction. Clearly, we should insist that all taped communications regarding the Senate seat should be made public. However, that should be a matter of public policy, not an excuse for political attack.

In a time when America is facing real challenges, Republicans should be working to help the incoming President succeed in meeting them, regardless of his Party."

Seriously, these fervent attack-dog politics are reminscent of the END of Bill Clinton's 8-year reign. And Obama hasn't even set foot in the White House, except for a brief tour with our shoe-friendly Lame Duck. LAY OFF REPUBLICANS! Seriously? Are you serious?

I'm sick of this already, and it's not even January yet.

PS: This still qualifies as morning politics, as it is still 11 AM in California.
