Search is for Suckers

Patrick over at ABlogAboutThings has posted on Yahoo's top searched keywords of 2008. What does it mean that I have not searched ANY of these terms?

The top 10 search terms are:
1. Britney Spears
2. WWE
3. Barack Obama
4. Miley Cyrus
5. RuneScape
6. Jessica Alba
7. Naruto
8. Lindsay Lohan
9. Angelina Jolie
10. American Idol

Yes, I like the WWE... but I know where to go to get that information. Other than that, you would be hard pressed to find me searching for the likes of Miley, Britney, Angelina, or Idol.

And what is RuneScape? I might search it now, just because I'm picturing a Warcraft-type dork orgy game and want to see if I'm right. (PS: I was right. But I use google - who the hell uses Yahoo!?)

When I go to a search engine, I am often looking for very specific information. "Gay guy and Beyonce" (helped me find Shane Mercado). "Business Cards" (call me an entrepreneur). "WWE Smackdown Vs. Raw 2009 videos" (I told you I was a wrestling dork).

I wish there were a way we could aggregate our OWN search terms. I'd like to see a record of all that I've searched this year!
