Today I've been completely remiss in my Plus One blogging duties. That's what happens when the wifey works....

ReplyDeleteWait, so one of the hardest things for retailers to do is to get their customers to recommend their stores to friends; various studies have shown that friend recommendations are most convincing. We also known that things viewed as "exclusive" are instantly desirable.
ReplyDeleteSo this store gets customers to market for them, "requiring" new customers to get an invitation from the existing ones, and then automatically gets existing customers to spend more money.
That is the most brilliant business model/marketing plan I've ever heard of.
I am a whore for whatever goes on in fashion - especially discount fashion purchased through the internet...

ReplyDeleteFunny, I just mentioned my first Gilt purchase on my blog. Usually the only things I'm interested in are way out of my budget, but I found a really cute pair of white sneakers last week.
