Mark: Food For Thought

Wait a second, Justin - you JUST discovered bananas?? You can tell I've been scrolling down the blog ...

Wow. I appreciate the boyfriend all the more now.

As a health nut and semi-foodie, I must chime in ... you ARE what you put in your body. Eartha Kitt once told me (while knawing on a chicken skewer and sipping a single glass of champagne) that whatever she puts into her body, food-wise, she commits to using in some other way throughout her day. And the gal was in AMAZING shape when I met her - still doing leg extensions above her head at the Carlyle. She would be dismayed at your lack of culinary sensitivity, J.

Whenever you are feeling tired and/or fatigued, it can usually be traced to lack of sleep (duh!) and enhanced by poor diet. I'm serious - fast food is "fast" because you burn through it quickly - which makes you want to eat/consume more later on. It's a vicious cycle that fuels (or does NOT fuel!) much of the United States. And Europe.

When I tell people I haven't eaten fast food in twenty years, they are shocked. I'm shocked they still do, with all the literature and the film SUPER SIZE ME out there. It's horrific, what we know about these companies.

And yet ... it's cheap ... it's easy ... it's certainly NOT sustainable.

I'll be in the corner with my skewer, singing "Teach Me Tonight" with Eartha. And an eco-friendly leather strap for spanking.
